#SAFC reporter for the Sunderland Echo. Maybe some cricket and music and stuff, too.

Really good showing from #SAFC Controlled in first half and found that clinical edge in the second. Great cameo from Rigg and Isidor showed why the club don't want to lose him. Roefs had so little to do throughout. A reminder that this is a good team in a good place!

Enjoyable and promising half from #SAFC without quite finding the killer touch. Hume unlucky with a brilliant volley that smashed off the bar. Roefs barely tested. Granit Xhaka v good (shock) and Thomas Meunier v assured. That looks a very clever pick up to me.

Good work from #SAFC to end the US tour. Should have been further ahead before the mass changes. Wrexham understandably much the better after that but Patterson didn't have too much to do. Knocks to Mukiele and Adingra the only concerns. Really solid performance

Really good half from #SAFC imo. You'd hope there'd be a bit of a gulf and there has been. Some good stuff played and real control. Brobbey totally dominant, Sadiki v impressive playing a little deeper and pleased to see Diarra looking sharp. Quite low tempo in the heat but promising

Very much not a classic, that one. One of those nights for Sunderland, who got into good areas quite regularly but couldn't get the cross or pass right. In fairness, Leeds defended well and saw much more of the ball after 60 mins Much to improve but nowt to panic about imo

Odd half... #SAFC played alright stuff at times and got into decent areas but lacked the final ball. Too casual at times and punished for the opener. Leeds have mostly sat off Ellborg and his back four and to be fair, it's largely worked for them. Sadly, Muharemović looks class.

RLB says the feeling at #SAFC is that last season is the start rather than the end of the story for this squad It's why he's v confident they'll keep their key players this summer, and why he's comfortable with a quiet window so far www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/footba...

Régis Le Bris issues confident message on retaining Sunderland's key players

Sunderland have had a quiet window so far but were able to fight off a move from Chelsea to sign Granit Xhaka
