"It's a bit of an odd one, to say the least." Satirical comedy of Tokyo terrorism by murderous Gas-Man. Chemical weapon with splattery body-horror, but English-dub foists mildly jokey tones upon a routinely-serious weird-crime drama, unfolding at leisurely pace. Flash-mob at bomb-scare location?

Re-watching TV crime-drama... TRUE DETECTIVE season 2, starring Colin Farrell & Rachel McAdams, remains the best of the series.

French #body-horror fantasy #ELSE is another 21st century genre #movie that's ruined by B&W scenes. What could have been welcome as a fascinating sub-Lynchian/ Cronenberg-styled nightmare loses half its appeal when vivid colour drains away, like new pop/ vanilla rock music recorded on wax cylinder.
