I finished my first Colleen Hoover book, Woman Down. 3/5. It was relatable in terms of being about a writer struggling with writer's block and is trying to find her muse. Ending dragged out for me. Best way to describe it is like those "scandalous" lifetime movie dramas lol

I am now 8/12 books towards my goal. I finished Immortal Consequences by I.V. Marie on 8/18/26 and i give it a 3/5 stars. Many good ideas but the execution & characters need a lot of work. I learned a lot about my own writing from it though! I may continue the series to see if there's improvement.

Next up on my reading list.. a dark academia fantasy with some hunger games flavoring ~ Immortal Consequences by I.V Marie. This book is SO so so pretty 😍
Finished with a rating of 4/5. The book had a tight grip on me for awhile, but around pg 250 or so, I started feeling "meh" about it. The epilogue picked it back up a bit. I noticed some of the books I've read this year have such strong beginning and middles but then fall off towards the end.
I cant get over how accurate this is that im actually crying 🤣
