Oh, I finally understand why the doppelgänger and Observation Duty/Exit 8 style horror is popular rn… I’m so dumb for not seeing the connection….

Thinking about how DJing left the underground hip-hop and electronic music scene to become a wildly different performance today in the mainstream that makes many people even question its validity as an art form.

I wasn’t expecting 100 downloads in a little over a day and hitting over 200 downloads so far. Thanks for downloading the sound pack. I’m happy that our work will live on. Never stop creating.

A set of line graphs showing the daily downloads and page views for the Project: Eden’s Garden Sound Library. The graphs show a total of 615 page views and 201 downloads spiking on the release date and tapering off over the past two weeks. Both graph shapes are very similar.

I’m happy the PJEG sample pack got over a hundred downloads in just over a day. Feels good to put out something for people to just use as they want. I hope the sounds get used in more projects so that they can get more mileage.

I should have this up tonight or tomorrow. I'm just renaming files to make them compliant with the UCS standard and not just "footstep_v3_FINAL.wav". This library will be royalty free and require no attribution. You will be free to download it for free and use it in basically any creative work.

I am officially motivated and working on organized all the files together to release the Project: Eden’s Garden Sound Library, including nearly every sound used in the game made by me and Rowan. I’ll have it up somewhere as a free download sometime this week, I promise.

Been having a rare occurrence when a piece of media directly points a finger at me and says “This. This is you. You are this and this is what happens when you are this.” A life-shattering mirror put directly in front of you showing you everything. I’ve actually just been spiraling nonstop since.

I mention this in my WIP spectator/observer cam doc I’m writing for comp Splatoon 3, but ever since I’ve set the rule for myself of having Alpha Team on the left side of the screen and Bravo Team on the right side, it bothers me when people don’t do it and just start spinning freely around the map.

I’m reading through 60 page Google Docs and listening to interviews with observers in other esports and I’m learning very quickly that the Splatoon comp scene for production is so behind. I’m learning so many ways these games are presented that are just a given elsewhere that we have never tried.

The extra time I’ve had has been allowing me to come up with some neat ideas. I really need to write more and take time to work some of these out, because I haven’t had the chance to actually make something for myself until now

Imagine VOD reviews but for spec/observer cam for Splatoon 3 comp matches I had motivation to work on that resource I was making for people wanting to get better at doing that. Might work on it while I’m on my sudden vacation.

Now that Project: Eden's Garden is officially cancelled, I'll take some time to make a sound pack of the audio from the game (that I'm allowed to) and put it out for the community to use how they wish. It will take me some time so please be patient.

On a personal note, it really sucks that the one thing with traction and a following big enough to turn heads and give your work a reputation and potentially kickstart your career can just go away overnight. 5 years of work and we only made it so far.

As it currently stands, I’m stepping away from Project: Eden’s Garden as Sound Lead. Thank you to everyone who played the game and complimented the audio work our team poured into it. Your support kept me going. But as everything has unfolded today, I will not associate myself with evil people.

Doing the SendouQ Finale and LUTI Tonight streams today (wish me luck), and I’m reminded that I wanted to do a behind-the-scenes video at some point of streaming events from home. Like an over the shoulder camera view of me scrambling behind my computer and communicating with comms on breaks.

Saw Iron Lung yesterday. After years of keeping up with the progress of the movie, it’s everything I’d hoped it would be and more. Suspenseful film with the cosmic horror vibe I love. Very excited that it’s finally out and I got to see it. I’d give it a 4/5 for me personally.
