Kudos to BBC iPlayer for putting up an old sitcom that isn't readily available to buy on DVD. And that's the only positive thing I have to say about this, so we'll leave it there.

Thanks all for the kind comments about this video. It won't come as a surprise to hear I've always gravitated towards the humour in classic Dr Who, and some of the finest can be found in City Of Death whenever Chadbon is on screen, toeing the line between bullish and bewildered to maximum effect.
Morning repost for this little tribute video to mark the passing of Tom Chadbon, one of Doctor Who's most memorable guest stars. RIP youtu.be/c3L-fPr3V9U

I loved Duggan from City Of Death. They should have kept him on as a companion. Better still, he should have had a spin-off... RIP Tom Chadbon (1946-2026) www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3L-...

What's the best that anyone has ever looked on camera? Ingrid Bergman, in anything
there is a recurring prompt around what’s the best that anyone has ever looked on camera and I never have an answer but I’m watching right now and I think it’s gotta be George Clooney in Ocean’s 11

Saw the missus off to catch her early train, fed the geese, did the supermarket shop, weeded the front garden, cleaned the pots, put a wash on, cooked breakfast and just enjoying a cup of tea.
The closing instrumental section of Entangled by Genesis is better than anything you'll hear on TOTP all year, you fuckers #TopOfTheProgs
Just show the missus the Commonwealth Games cameo: MISSUS: Who's that? ME: (eyes glare) What?! MISSUS: Who is it? ME: Are you joking? MISSUS: (pause) Is it Sylvester McCoy? ME: I swear, you were *that* close to getting dumped. MISSUS: He looks different! ME: He's still covered in question marks!
I got a job as a records manager.
I got a job as a librarian but they threw the book at me.
I wondered whether, with this sweet lil cameo in the Commonwealth Games 2026 Opening Ceremony, 82 year old Sylvester McCoy was now the oldest Classic Doctor to return to the role on-screen... but turns out he's still a year behind Tom Baker, who returned at 83 to 'complete' Shada in September 2017.
Can't wait for the website to crash and burn when their next sale goes live, just like the good old days
