Women, what was the dangerous situation you shouldn’t have been in when you were assaulted? I’ll go first. I went to a friend’s birthday party where we watched a movie and made cookies. Our friendship ended that night.
57 men in a group chat and none of them did anything to make sure Jane Doe was safe. Instead one man offered her up to the wolves like a piece of meat. Tell me again how it’s not all men. These are future doctors, lawyers, and civil servants who remained silent.
Men keep saying women shouldn’t put themselves in these dangerous situations while also saying men are the protectors. We wouldn’t need protection from dangerous situations if men would stop being the most dangerous thing in the room. Until men hold men accountable, it’s all men.
Thousands of Cornell students have taken over the main plaza on campus to demand the Cornell 7 be held accountable for their crimes. 21% of undergraduate women are raped or sexual assaulted during their time on campus.
My dentist office doesn’t know me by name. They know me as the lady who brings her own stress ball to help navigate my crippling dental anxiety. They think it’s cute while I’m just trying not to cry the ugliest of cries.
If your state has been red for a few decades and things are only getting worse, maybe…I don’t know, vote differently! Insanity is doing the same thing expecting a different result. Stop voting republican if you can’t afford to survive. Stop voting because you hate someone you never met.
