Re: the USS Abraham Lincoln, it’s not just that that crew has been “deployed” for a ridiculously long amount of time, it’s that they haven’t been allowed any port visits, which normally are part of a naval deployment. They haven’t been off the ship in months. All the Navy folks I know are horrified.
Marines too. I speak from experience. Those things are miserable to be on.
