I've just found the very best way to stay cool in this weather: Fly a drone above your head, as low as it will go. Wonderful downdraft and the added excitement of possibly getting an unexpected haircut or losing an ear.
Not sure what he was doing here. He seems to be looking for fish but it was a three foot drop to the surface and deep water. It's probably just as well he didn't see any. Maybe he had been watching the local kingfisher and thought he might try the same technique. @everyheron.bsky.social
I have now flooded the market with Hummingbird Hawk Moth videos and it's maybe time to venture further than 6 feet from my front door - but I do like this one, especially the fly-past at the end.
I am having to remove an increasing number of birds from my flat. Usually young ones.

Some of my favourite CDs (yes I still do CDs) are film soundtracks. I really like Amelie, Chocolat, The Shape of Water, Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, Harry Potter, not Lord of the Rings so much (great as a film soundtrack but not as listening-to music). Any other suggestions?

Three days on and off filming a wasps' nest in closeup and I escaped unscathed. Ten minutes picking brambles and my bloodstream is 18% nettle venom.
After three days I finally have the shot I was hoping for and haven't been stung. I think I might quit while I'm ahead
