New review! Avatar Legends has some of the most fun moment to moment gameplay of any fighting game I’ve played. A cumbersome training mode, and some missing features hold it back, but this is nonetheless a fighting game I see myself playing for a long time youtu.be/NO_QRjLk0Ec?...
I reviewed Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game from the lens of a fighting games novice that loves Avatar. I think this is a valuable perspective, so do check it out. The game is great, btw! #AvatarLegends techraptor.net/gaming/revie...

Finished The Adventures of Elliot. Team Asano just DOESN’T MISS I tell ya
I’ve felt weird talking about it cuz I’m just a freelancer, I’ve written various versions of this post before deleting But I’ve also been affected by the commerce layoffs at GameSpot and, as always, could use more work. I still have some time for appts during SDCC, and for reviews, previews etc.
The Doom DLC gives a whole new meaning to rip and tear, because this shit is tearing me a new one
Like #FireEmblem: Three Houses, I'm going to assume Fortune's Weave is much more than meets the eye. The coliseum seems to be a focus, but I'm also thinking that's just the beginning like the school phase in 3H. I could just be repeating what everyone else is guessing, but I've been out of town!
Look ma, I’m an officially published person now! 🥳 Control Resonant was one of the best demos I played at Summer Game Fest. It never felt like Control 2. It feels like its own game, replacing third person shooting with close combat melee action. I loved my time with it.
It’s impressive that Remedy keeps reinventing its own wheel with Control Resonant in an industry so comfortable with simply iterating on its own successful franchises. Our preview: templeofgeek.com/summer-game-...
I fucking love Fire Emblem so much, but the state of collector’s editions in gaming is so depressing.
Silent Hill: Townfall, y’all. This is shaping up to be a very exciting based on what I saw. The attention to detail is immaculate, and the mystery it portrays is intriguing to say the least! Here’s my preview. techraptor.net/gaming/previ...
Silent Hill: Townfall's Eerie Silence Makes for Sinister, Slow-burn Horror | TechRaptor
Set within the Scottish countryside, Silent Hill: Townfall is a creepy, slow-burn horror title.

I played Blood Message at #SGF. It honestly blew me away, along with my editor who came along for the ride. It’s incredibly ambitious and brutal. Check out my preview, you won’t regret it! techraptor.net/gaming/previ...

At this point I'd rather release a game next to GTA VI than in September lol
Alright games industry, y'all gotta chill the hell out with September
Third playthrough of Mina done, ahead of SGF. Onto the next!
For #AAPIHeritageMonth, I had the fortune of moderating a panel with @parallaxstella.bsky.social @breath0air.bsky.social @brazyazn.bsky.social and Chandler Treon to talk about their journeys and thoughts about identity and the industry at large being AAPI in Games Media. See it Sunday.
In a year full of heavy hitters, Mina the Hollower might just be the GOAT. It’s out now, and if you need any convincing and missed my review, here you go! Fantastic job by @yachtclubgames.bsky.social! techraptor.net/gaming/revie...

We sat down with the cast of Critical Role and The Legend of Vox Machina ahead of Season 4 to learn where we're picking up the story, how humor balanced grief, and how plot lines are structured.
