Hi #PortfolioDay ! ✨ I'm Mathilde, a 29yo French artist who enjoys designing characters, taking inspiration from my various interests (fantasy, Celtic folklore, animals, puns, etc.) and trying new things ! 🌻 This year I've been experimenting with linocut printing and it's so satisfying !

The illustration depicts a landscape in portrait format. It is set on the coast of Brittany, France, although the sea is out of the picture but the colorful heath on the foreground is a big hint. Pink and reddish heather, gorse and lichen-covered granitic blocks take the lower third of the picture. The sky is blue with big clouds and seagulls. At the edge of the heath, a woman and a man dressed in traditional Breton clothing (from Bro Bigouden) run ; the woman is ahead, laughing, while the man is chasing her and looking more uncertain as their path is probably unsteady. The vibe is warm and invites on a journey to coastal Brittany.A linocut print depicting a humpback whale breaching. There are splashes of water surrounding her. Part of the background was kept dark to intensify the contrast between the splashing water and the whale's darker body. Blue paint was used for printing.A linocut print : an armor gauntlet is holding a bouquet of flowers. The shape of the bouquet contrasts with the details of the flowers, which are stylized.The template of a sticker sheet consisting of 6 dragons, which are all of a different color (pink greyish-brown, blue, red, green with pink strips, yellow). There charadesigns are all different, as well as their transpiring personalities (regal, wary, playful, sleepy, derpy and happy/curious).

I rolled a character for Orbital Megastructure. Wild AI are artificial intelligences (actual sentient ones.. 😤) created by other AI in the megastructure, not part of the System they often join human settlements for mutual survival. They are good at hacking but can be good in other roles too.

Ok so this one is really special. It is a commission from my friend who wanted a mock cover for her novel, Minos. It deals with dark themes (I hope this cover conveys it) As you can see even a book cover couldn't make me draw something other tan a "purple-ish portrait" lol #bookcover #darkfantasy
