A few notes on Nneka Ogwumike's WNBA retirement announcement: -She will remain WNBPA president until EC elections are held at the end of the calendar year -She still intends to play in the Project B league, which is supposed to launch in January

For all that this has been a Chicago Sky season to forget, it has certainly delivered in games with close finishes.

While much has been made (by me) of the Valks exceeding inaugural season expectations, and being the first new expansion team to make the playoffs, second-year expansion teams don't fare much better in the WNBA Only two had winning records/made the playoffs: Atlanta 2009 and Miami 2001
