Jason Blum's take on AI sucks. an AI takeover isn't inevitable, and treating it as such (while also referring to filmmaking as "content creation," smdh) helps AI companies promote the lie that their deeply unprofitable, destructive tech is more powerful and useful than it actually is.

One thing that bothers me tonight in particular is how so much of this is happening because of grand and sweeping capitulation by the media, by companies, by Congress, by people in power. Even when they don’t have to — they simply comply, acquiesce, and appease.

Just trying to distract myself from the agony of being on submission. The last time I did a PC upgrade, BLACK TIDE was out in the world looking for a home, which turned out pretty well, so here's hoping for a repeat!
