Fireside now sends real-time feed notifications via Podping and WebSub. I think this was the last piece of our podcast standards implementation (podstandards.org). Apps in the Podcast Index ecosystem now get notified instantly. Nice little Thursday ship. Of course I httparty'd the whole time. 🎉

Ok, reading the public text closely, you can see that Apple is not hosting the HLS video, but relying on the (partner) hosting company to do that. Apple just takes part in the monetization. The hosting company will determine supported video formats/features podcasters.apple.com/support/5593...
This is one of the reasons we convene PfP✨ events: developers get to spend quality time with publishers and dig into real use-cases and domain knowledge. It is a platform for "customer validation"
