You know what’s great about Twitter? You don’t have to go there. You don’t have to read it. You don’t have to post. You don’t have to take screenshots and bring them back here. It is, entirely, optional. You can just *not* engage with it and still live a full a complete life.

Dan Campbell with a game ball for Lions radio announcer Dan Miller after the game today. Campbell choked back tears as he announced the game ball to Miller, who lost his wife to cancer this week. Prayers to Dan and his family.

I was watching the Lions in the first quarter but stopped to play pub trivia and didn’t follow the game until now. I am personally responsible for the turnaround and will be avoiding watching live going forward.

Had to explain to my mom today why I didn’t want to watch Deshaun Watson. Having to have that conversation because a person like that is somehow still playing in the NFL is exhausting and I really, really wish it wasn’t necessary.

It’s striking, the degree to which this booth seem unaware that most of the non-Cleveland/non-pittsburgh viewing audience are, at best, apathetic to these QBs, and may be actively cheering against both QBs simultaneously.

What’s striking to me is there’s really no need to do this. There are so many other exciting pieces about this team. The QB in question is not additive to their success. Choosing to make him the main character.
