The Supreme Court, on June 29th, allowed counting of late arriving ballots, rejected an attempt to fire a member of the Federal Reserve, but allowed the president to fire heads of other independent agencies for any reason. The public agrees on the first two, but not on the third. Link below--

Wisconsin state Senator Andre Jacque (R - New Franken) became the 6th Republican to announce he will not seek reelection. There are 18 GOP senators, so 1/3 are not running. This district is solidly Republican. Past votes are for the current post 2024 boundaries.

California billionaire tax now on ballot. In my Marquette Law School Poll national survey released last week we asked about a “special additional tax on billionaires.” A substantial 73% majority favor such a tax, including a majority of Republicans. Clip from last week’s release.
