Would be great if we applied the same level of design, testing and scrutiny used for our children's car seats to the bike lanes they ride to school in.

I'd appreciate any help in amplifying this that I can get. A lot of work went into it and it's the kind of story that most media wouldn't touch with a barge-pole, but I think it raises important issues that need to be discussed.
