🚨 JUST IN: a record number of people are going without essentials, like food and bills. New research by @jrf-uk.bsky.social reveals that 7.4 million households have gone without at least one essential in 6 months. This is a stark reminder that the cost of living crisis is far from over.

This electricity VAT cut is too small to make much of a difference to those struggling to pay their bills each month. It's also likely to mean most of the savings go to richer households who tend to use more electricity.
