Spent the week teaching and meeting with colleagues at Malmö University. An intense but rewarding week. Celebrated with a well-deserved princess cake at Emporia!
This was the theme of one of the first ASC conferences I attended and I guess it has stuck with me ever since.
Time for a new wave of PADS+ data collection. Visiting the PADS+ office meeting Kyle and Beth, and our new research assistants (Katie, Rhianna, Giulia) who will be doing the most important job interviewing the participants. And of course it was time for a coffee!

Spent an enjoyable day teaching at the ESC summer school. Meeting some of the criminologists of the future (and Fernando and Marcelo)
Congratulations to Dr Kyle Treiber that just has been appointed Professor at the University of Cambridge. Such a brilliant mind. It is a particular pleasure to see your former PhD students do well.
Enjoying a break in the Spanish sun and some very good books. Carruthers's just published book makes a good argument that philosophical treatments of action theory would benefit from taking better into account cognitive sciences, and, among other things, the role of habits.
Enjoying Tea and Scones at the Orchard. One of many classic and lovely spots in Cambridge.
WONDERFUL to see BRYNÄS ready for the finals. Lucky that at least there is an English pay channel that shows matches from the SHL. Brings back wonderful childhood memories from my short ‘career' in Brynäs boys' team 3 😂 As they say. Once Brynäs, always Brynäs!
Interview I did with Kurir, a leading Austrian newspaper Enjoyed talking to this excellent journalist on crime and its prevention
