Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we mourn and honor those who have been lost to anti-transgender violence. We're proud to care for trans folks and will always fight for their right to bodily autonomy so they can live authentically, free from harassment, violence, and oppression. 🏳️‍⚧️

It's Trans Awareness Week, a week to celebrate the joy + strength of the trans community and to talk about the challenges trans people face.   We are proud to provide gender-affirming care at our 6 health centers. We will always support our patients + fight for them to live joyful, authentic lives.

Without the restoration or replacement of our federal funding, the public health impacts will be severe — cancers will go undetected, STIs will go untreated, pregnancy will be less safe, and patients won’t get the birth control or abortion care they need to plan for their families and futures.

Here's your Friday reminder that virginity is a ✨ social construct ✨! It's a completely made-up term with no basis in medicine. The idea of virginity comes from outdated ways of thinking that hurt everyone, and it was only created to control and shame people – mainly women.

This week, Gov Newsom and legislative leaders announced over $140 million in state funding to support Planned Parenthood health centers throughout California, to help keep health centers open and provide services after the full federal "defunding" under HR 1 earlier this year.

Health care should be accessible, affordable, and available for all.
