Can anyone recommend a good scholarly history of Howard /Freedmen's Hospi? I've been unable to find any, even in Bulletin. Freedmen's was the first Black hosp, training getns of Black physicians, sustaining African-Americans through segregation and the civil rights and continues as Howard Univ Hosp.

So it's farewell to the History subject area at the University of Hertfordshire, not the first nor the last to go. One of the best departments in the country, just extinguished like a snap of the fingers. Think of the waste. (1/2)

After many valient attempts I have come to question the wisdom of gardening in Houston summer. Why waste so much energy resources to keep some delicate plants alive when they are not meant to be. Even the native ones struggle. (Pls dont tell her but my garden looks like my late mom's in summer!)
