This is cool to see. Dominic is one of the premier voices in the business on indies and I have no doubt this site is going to be an excellent one

It's TIME! TO! GET! HYPE! Today, I get to proudly unveil Steam Hype, the project I've been working on with the help of @hookshot.media for the past two and a half months. A new PC gaming site which aims to demystify PC gaming, cut through the 100+ daily releases and spotlight indies as much as AAA

Roman Sands RE:Build is out. After so many years, you can finally play our labour of love. It's deranged, it goes SO MANY PLACES, it probably shouldn't exist, and I've no idea if you're going to like it or not but that ain't the point. Roman Sands RE:Build. store.steampowered.com/app/2231460/...

A service industry adventure with an apocalyptic flavor. A manic genre mashup told across two broken realities. Step through the cracks: find your Exit.

Fun thing to do: having just boarded a flight, turn to the person next to you and say “this is the flight to [city you are leaving] right?” And then when they confusedly respond just say “ok” calmly and not speak again for the rest of the flight

It's that time of year again where I'm starting up GOTY machine again. Last years effort on PPG was not overly great (for good reasons I think, but still) so I am hoping to make this year's good again, in the vein of 2024's at least.

Ed just doing fantastic reporting across the board rn. Full article is worth the read, and yeah holy shit the complete mask dropping of CEOs in their disdain for humans in the way of their profits atm is, while not a surprise, still absolutely insane

I asked Saber Interactive if they had any follow-up comments in regards to the accusations that the studio replaced a writer with ChatGPT. I got a substantial response from Saber CEO Matt Karch. You can and should read it in full: thisweekinvideogames.com/news/saber-i...

Recently checked out Solarpunk, which feels like it kinda got looked over despite being a bit of an indie darling this year? It's pretty good, though comes with baggage inherent to the genre i feel it could have improved upon. www.pressplaygaming.net/articles/202...

Solarpunk and the Plight of the Short Crafty-Buildy Game — Press Play Gaming

Solarpunk's early hours could use some work, but when it really gets going it’s a great time.

One thing I haven’t seen anyone say is, READ. Go read something an article from an author you admire, re-read a piece you were inspired by, or re-read a piece you’ve written before that you’re at least “that was all right” about. A good writer must read.

any advice from writers for when you desperately need to start writing something but you can't because you're terrified of it being terrible

I want to introduce you all to something myself and @jacksonwryan.com have been working on. A PRINT MAGAZINE about video games and video game culture. We know things have been bad for games writing recently. We're asking, "do you want to Continue?" www.kickstarter.com/projects/con...
