There are 19th C contested election cases where Congress viewed the presence of federal troops at the polls as a form of election interference. It would be ironic if these arguments - used to undermine federal protection for Black voters - would make a reappearance in 21 C to protect voting rights.

I wonder why the third largest state by land mass, with the most registered voters in the country, can't count its votes as fast as Rhode Island. Something, something...federalism, I guess.
