As we dipped into an important conversation about #privacy on Sunday’s livestream, we realized we needed more perspectives, so @yycphoto.bsky.social and I have invited guests into the conversation. Join our panel at Kathy's Corner, Thurs/Fri #FamilyHistory #Genealogy tockify.com/eventscalend...

This month, at Kathy's Corner, we're changing it up a bit. Instead of a presentation, Kathy Stone will be joined by a Special Panel on Privacy Practices in Family History, including Linda Stufflebean, Annette Gendler, and Barbara Tien.

⮕ To register, visit the program Zoom Registration Page.

Our show-runner for this series, Projectkin member Kathy Stone, has decades of experience as a professional photo organizer and is now working on her family history projects.

In this special episode, she's brought in experts in different aspects of family history, including genealogy, biography writing, collection management, and technologies for what promises to be a lively discussion about privacy.

Kathy Stone brings her own experience with privacy as a professional photo manager, caring for her clients' collections through complex periods of technological change. In addition to her work at Kathy's Corner, you'll find more of her posts at KathysCoaching.Substack.com. Joining her on this panel will be:

Linda Stufflebean describes herself as an obsessed genealogical researcher who has been exploring her family tree since 1979. She may be best known among genealogists for her daily posts of tips and insights at emptybranchesonthefamilytree.com.
Annette Gendler is a memoirist, family historian, and writing instructor. She's the author of three books: How to Write Compelling Stories from Family History, the memoir Jumping Over Shadows, and a children’s book, Natalie and the Nazi Soldiers. She writes on Substack at The Past and The Present.
Barbara Tien is the ringleader at Projectkin. After a career in technology startups, she's pivoted to focus her energy on encouraging more people to tell their stories by tapping into family historians’ unique gifts for connection and narrative.
These programs are all free, made possible by the generosity of our Projectkin Patrons. Learn more at Projectkin.org/patrons.
