The local LGS has a VtM LARP that definitely still runs this way. A GM proudly told my friends nobody would talk to us for months and that certain clans were just verboten in like... 2018. They still run, but I admittedly did not go for that sales pitch.

I've got something in my brain about #ttrpg players and parasocial relationships, but I'm not in the right headspace. We've all witnessed the rise in a parasocial relationship with D&D5e alone, buoyed by Critical Role and a few key others. But that pales in the shadow of Vampire: The Masquerade.

Picked up a box of @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social Valkir troopers for some additional power armored kitbash options. I did one sprue as intended; a bit fiddly to get together but they turned out great.

This is another of my #ttrpg white whales; I bought it years ago, had a group to play it with, we were about to set a date, then the group splintered. I've found new groups since, but I've never been able to put together a party willing and excited for its vibe. Still a fun read!

MDF: Egypt Edition. Or maybe Stargate if we're doing sci-fi. These were weird to put together, more like those 3d puzzles than the buildings.

Finished The Vampire Lestat show last night; I told my boyfriend I felt like we were kind of like Louis and Lestat and he told me that sounded like a straight couple comparing themselves to Romeo and Juliet.

A couple more MDF #miniterrain buildings, both from TTCombat: the Octopod Skyway and Guard Tower. I tried to find stuff that was a little more dynamic and friendly to mix and match than big bespoke pieces, even if the big pieces were really cool.

I get everyone has a lot of great and witty zingers for their quote dunks, but as a reminder I do remove anyone who reposts shitty stuff on my timeline. Honestly miss that as a community standard.

In terms of establishing the fundamental aesthetic of the 1990s strand of cinematic cyberpunk, the 1993 "Super Mario Bros." adaptation is probably up there with "Johnny Mnemonic" and "Lawnmower Man" influence-wise, as much as we all hate to admit it.

Had the realization that Lestat and Sephiroth are kind of the same guy. They both randomly got obsessed with and stalked a single twink to the point of mutual mental breakdown while participating in apocalyptic events brought about by their almost entirely unconcealed mommy stuff.

My boyfriend loves the Interview with a Vampire series so he got me to watch some with him originally, but at this point I think I'm ready to declare The Vampire Lestat show one of the best vampire arts ever made. Just absolutely perfect from the writing to the design and the mind-blowing acting.
