I just read your bulletin and writing that on an ICNG train, I can confirm that new trains don't necessarily mean good trains. Unfortunately, the interior of those trains are nothing like the Intercity; even most non-Corail TER trains in France are much more comfortable. @jonworth.eu
Today is cross border rail day for me... Strasbourg-Amsterdam (through TGV to Bruxelles then Eurocity Direct to Amsterdam) A shame that Trainline don't offer this itinerary. It was showing expensive connections either via Paris or complex (and also expensive) ones via Germany...
"Le Train" signed an agreement with SNCF Réseau to operate on Paris-Rennes and Paris-Bordeaux routes. It's interesting that an operator who announced they would run regional lines that don't serve Paris would do this. @pglux.bsky.social @jonworth.eu
