phew. it’s been a busy few weeks. happy to say i think we’re finally close to the (re)launch! i have just one thing to ask from YOU though: what are your favorite protogen sites/resources on the web?? anything notable or that you think is a good spot for protogens to connect really, lmk!

hii, jax here (as always) just wanted to post a small update: i took started lil break from web dev stuff a bit ago since i kinda burnt myself out. slowly starting progress on the site again tho don’t think the first new version will have everything i want, hoping to have something done before AWU
along with the big revamp in doing, should i make a discord server or something for this? i dont like discord or moderating, but i’d do it, for the proots :3 (assistance would be welcomed :3)
heads up! new applications for ALL protogen.chat services are paused, effective immediately. a restructure affecting just about everything is being planned! existing users of protogen.chat services will be unaffected for now. but if you’re one of those users and have any questions, send a dm!
the source code for protogen.chat has moved from github to tangled.org! this is thanks to their improvements to spindles (ci/cd runners), they seem to be super reliable now also thanks to myself finally properly self hosting one! its at spindle.protogen.chat and available to others upon request :3
the ISP for the main server that protogen chat runs on has been having some major issues since yesterday afternoon. trying to deal with this as best as possible, but they've been unhelpful so far, which is weird because they've been rock solid till now. sorry if there's issues reaching our stuff!
also, uhh, kinda funny to say day after switching, but expect some downtime later today, as our epic new upstream provider will be doing some upgrades to bring you an even awesomer experience! dw this isn’t the norm, just funny timing x3
our reverse proxy has moved to vixen.computer! this means: - TLS is now terminated in Canada, in addition to main storage already being in Canada. - The US will have less jurisdiction over your data when you use protogen.chat services. - We now have IPv6 support!

in support of a better internet, protogen. chat no longer uses any cloudflare services. DNS is now handled by deSEC, and everything else is self-hosted!
services will be going down temporarily again. for updates, again. because someone didn't properly disclose a linux kernel vulnerability....... again!
