I had a very small following, but was gaining a lot of traction and seeing growth. I chose to walk away from that. I left a lot of mutuals behind in doing so, and that's a bummer, but I couldn't be on a platform that rewarded bigotry, is run by a Nazi, and allows art to be freely served up to AI.

I am way too online for my own good, and I had an unreasonably large twitter following, and I really *enjoyed* twitter for a lot of years, and yet leaving there and never looking back was maybe the easiest what-felt-like-a-big-ethical decision I've ever made.

3 Uncomfortable Observations: 1) Some creators believe using Twitter is a necessary evil because there's no other option to reach a wide audience than a site unfortunately owned by a white supremacist weirdo. 2) Some people use Twitter because their specific audience IS white supremacist weirdos.
