The story of Zuckerberg's yacht ignoring a skiff in distress is compelling not because of the details of exactly how it happened & who was at fault. It's compelling because no one can afford their lives, & we're all sick of looking at billionaires & their general lack of moral obligation to society.

The measure of a society is how it invests in its children. For decades, I have advocated for Head Start because every child deserves a strong start in life. Today, I stand with the more than 100 civil rights and child advocacy organizations opposing efforts to dismantle the program from within.
