New blog post on my website! ptrgags.dev/update/2026-... The past couple weeks I've been haphazardly porting code from past projects to prepare for new stuff. Math pattern articles, math art, and more! #creativecoding #mathart #symmetry #spirograph

Hi, I'm Peter! (they/them) I do all sorts of experiments with math, art, music and programming. I value human creativity; nothing I make uses AI Website: https://ptrgags.dev
I've been redesigning my website lately! Now I have a blog section (including an Atom feed). This gives me a place to round up links to the creative things I make all in one place. ptrgags.dev/blog.html
Finished this cross stitch pattern of coral! I drew the pixel art myself in Aesprite #embroidery
Almost there! Just two more columns of navy blue to go. #crossstitch #embroidery
And... Finished! I've been rebuilding the lego mosaics for my walls with new patterns. Clearly I'm ready for Halloween and it isn't quite September yet haha
Progress update on the coral cross stitch pattern! I'm using half-stitches for the first pass, this way the shape appears rapidly. A second pass will turn them into cross stitches. #embroidery
The other day I started a new cross-stitch project. I drew this coral pixel art myself in Aesprite, now to put it to fabric!
I thought I'd try posting a #pico8 cartridge to the official site. I'm starting with one I haven't shown off yet: a hitomezashi embroidery pattern editor! See the link below for a live version and more background info! www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=158...

I made a #pico8 animation of a cassette tape! You can find the cartridge on my GitHub here: github.com/ptrgags/pico...
I took a page out of @jenivievedesign.bsky.social's book. I got a pack of holographic laminate sheets to add some iridescence to my art! I picked a pack with geometric patterns as that best fits my art style. #arttradingcards #aceo
I'm trying to find a way to store my embroidery projects (including future ones I make) in a way that I'll actually view and enjoy them... Any ideas? My first thought is something along the lines of a 3-ring binder but smaller. Not sure how to mount these as "pages" though. #crossstitch #blackwork
Latest sketch: a screen scrambler!🍳 I'm using some offscreen buffers to copy and paste chunks of pixels. There's a feedback loop - the cursor can select previously pasted tiles! Live version: ptrgags.dev/p5-sketchboo... #p5js #processing #animation #creativecoding
Yesterday I finished making this unusual clock. It lets you set what hour you wake up/go to sleep. Then you can see what proportion of the day has elapsed so far in a visual way. Live version: ptrgags.dev/p5-sketchboo... #p5js #clock #creativecoding
I've been itching to do something with pixel art. I have some ideas that'll take a while. For now, a little loop. #pixelart #animation #isometric #aseprite
I made a set of stamps for making rooms and corridors. It makes the kind of maze you find in tile-based dungeon crawlers #linocut #stampmaking
This week I tried a new medium -- block printing! It pairs quite nicely with my art style. #linocut #printmaking #stampmaking
Finished the white stitches, now I can start the last color! Yes, this is using the colors from the non-binary flag, just in time for #pridemonth! 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 #blackwork #embroidery
Progress on the third color of stitches! #blackwork #embroidery #abstractart
Happy #pridemonth! 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 I had cross-stitched this Progress flag a year ago. That was before I was on Bluesky so I never posted it. #crossstitch #embroidery
Second color done! #blackwotk #embroidery
Starting a new embroidery project. Trying out plastic canvas for something new. Quickly learning that translucent fabric is less forgiving on the reverse side. Curious to see how it looks as I fill in more details #blackwork #embroidery

Haven't done an ink wash in a long time, so made this abstract doodle. The colored parts were drawn in fountain pen ink. Then smeared with a water brush This time I traced the outline in fineliner. In the past l would't bother. #artisttradingcards #inkwash
