Damn. First batch of apple fritters was mush, ouch. Something I’m doing, or not doing, leaves everything I’ve done still moist-raw inside. Pretty obvious I didn’t cook them long enough and the oil cooled too much when I put them in. I’ll try adding more time frying/baking and see if that works.

Weird aspect of CPTSD, at least in my experience. The people I had admired the most were simply my father in another body. The narcissist with the hero complex was my hero, it makes sense I would seek out those similar to him. The mind is a terrible thing if not properly guided early in life.
I think it would behoove us to be wary of centrist democrats or anyone who says something to the effect of, “I just want it to go back to how it was.” Remind them that the way it was led to the way it is now. If we go back to those times, we’ll be right back in these times and likely worse.
