My dad doesn't realise I get notifications every time there's motion or someone comes to the door from our Ring doorbell. When he opens the door, it says, "Hi, you're currently being recorded," and he has full conversations with it. I might use a voice modulator to talk back to him, its to adorable

Security update: Ring doorbell? Yep. Two extra Ring cameras? Yep. Ring Chime? Yep. Two security motion detector lights delivered and waiting for the electrician to install them? Yep. My message is clear: this house is watched, this house is lit up, and this house is no longer an easy target. Rarr!

A warning for your mental health: do not help your 82 year old father switch his Fire Stick over to your Prime account. You will question reality, technology, and your life choices.

On 1 July, my home was broken into. I installed a Ring doorbell & extra security. 16 days later, last night, my Ring alerted me to 3 people crossing my lawn & attempting to access my car. The Ring camera warning made them run. Two incidents in 16 days. Im pretty worried. #Ring

I understand the very real problem with Ring doorbell and cameras. But after the home invasion and the fact that the only thing they took was a very sharp kitchen knife, I purchased a Ring doorbell. I haven’t slept in three nights and I am terrified.

I organise my phone by colour, not folders or anything sensible. Dark blue into light blue, everything has to visually belong. If an app misbehaves, it goes to the “bad behaviour pile” at the bottom. Not deleted, exiled. It can only come back if I download something that matches its colour. you?

Last night Banjo alerted me to something at 2.30am, thought he was barking at cats told him to be quiet, would not stop. This morning I found the back gate open and a window into the house forced open. Someone had been in my home. Nothing’s been stolen. I was literally saved by my pug. I am shaken.
