Sapphire: "I'm asking this since you are part of a system too... My friend knows I am not the host and she casually said that alters are not real. That we are just in a person's brain, that we are just variations of the host. So, what makes someone real?"

Gregniel: "I think your friend should co..."
Luar gives Gregniel a pleading stare.
Gregniel: "consider reading DID research and keeping her mouth shut until she finishes all of it. we have some pdfs and articles that might help.
Luar gives a thumbs up.

Gregniel: "As for your question: cogito, ergo sum (I think, therefore I am). Your friend's logic is that being inside a brain makes you not real. This would mean that anyone with a brain is not real."
Sapphire: "RIGHT?"

Gregniel: "And host just means the alter who fronts the most. I was a host before. That did not make me worthier of respect than my companions. I don't get why some people only love the most convenient side of those they care about. You will never feel whole this way."

Sapphire: "What about integration and fusion, though?"
Gregniel: "Those shouldn't be a prerequisite for respect..."

Gregniel: "Integration is the healthy communication between parts, which is great! but fusion is only one way of integrating. it will only be healthy if that's what you want for yourself."

Gregory: "You're so annoying, man! I hope you die a very slow and painful death."

Gregniel, narrating: "It took Daniel and Gregory years to like each other, let alone cooperate. They were built to handle different situations (fawn/fight) and had clashing views as a result. they (very slowly) learned to work together, to the point that they didn't want to be apart at all. You get an honest brute out of them."
