Not everyone's going to like every ep. I certainly don't. The main criticism I see online of "Human Best Friend" is that the writers don't like Star Trek anymore and are trying to write anything but Trek. What is Trek? A doctor fucking a ghost? Crew turning into salamanders? WHAT IS STAR TREK?

It pains me to write this, because I'm not trying to dunk on Dr. Erin at all. The question has to be asked in the coming years, though, whether there can be any ethical consumption of official Star Trek given the current family that owns Paramount and who they serve. I wrestle with that every day.🖖🏿
