Having some "333" Shan Lin Xi High Mountain Taiwan Oolong today from Floating Leaves. This isn't really my wheelhouse, but it's nice. Bright floral note upfront over a buttery and thick body. Very soft and relaxed. I love with these rolled oolongs how you get left with big old leaves. #teasky

2026 @white2tea.bsky.social Swerve Like the Suzuca, this one is charcoal roasted. In my experience, shai hong material really does not have the oomph to stand up to a heavy roast in the way that sheng does, so I was a bit worried, but compared to suzuca this is less "loud" in all regards. #teasky

2011 Jin Dayi today. This isn't the first time I have had this one, but I have a chunk of this as a group sample buy online. For Dayi, it's got a surprising bit of smoke on the nose, but in the cup it is much more subdued. It's present, but it gives way to the characteristic Dayi fruit note #teasky

Today it's @white2tea.bsky.social 2024 Critical Thoughts. The wet leaf is definitely less sweet than others and the tea itself presents with a soft herbaceousness which gives way to a strong savory character with a bit of sourness. I see where the "tomato soup" note comes from on the page #teasky

The wet leaf gives strong tropical fruit scent with the obvious charcoal roast over top. The roast doesn't feel intense, but pretty moderate #teasky
