The Tao lecture is great and "contrast" is a fun way to think about Yegge's output (long before the latest insanity) - I often thought it prolix and woolly, to the point of being nigh-impossible to evaluate on its own terms, never mind contrasted with something else. The stuff is uncontrastable.
