Anyone else working with code and #AI agents feeling this fatigue each day after work? I have like 4-5 simultaneous agents running for different threads of work, cycling through them as the day goes -> reading and responding. This is "productive" but very exhausting - my 🧠 feels like a squeezed 🍋

If you are interested in #quantumcomputing and #chemistry here is a small nugget. A friend of mine has just published a paper on the arXiv (arxiv.org/abs/2608.11733) that shows the first double excitation operator implementation (QEB) with 12 CNOT gates - for years the record was 13. Enjoy

A 12-CNOT Double Qubit Excitation Gate

Effective implementation of high-level quantum gates is essential for practical quantum computing. To the best of our knowledge, we present the first reported 12-CNOT decomposition of the double qubit...

The quote 'Every country has the government it deserves.' is currently echoing in my brain over and over again. I am not a fan of the idea but yet there seems to be some truth to it. Why does it keep echoing? Well Orange-Utan for one - but also that the EU has again failed with Mercosur etc

Gave a talk in Copenhagen yesterday at a small scientific conference on quantum computing with great attendees. It was an interesting experience after so many years out of touch with "my field". Hope to deepen the interaction in the future. Below is the part of the presentation I am most proud of:

Politics is a strange thing - and I feel I am missing a basic nugget of education here. Why is it that on a personal level it mostly does not matter where people come from and we get along just fine - but as soon as we start building and thinking in groups (tribes, countries etc) it turns to 💩

@bsky.app - Feature suggestion: Custom sorting of content into different feeds would be nice and in a way a obvious way to prioritize content - as an alternative to the opaque algorithms used by twitter (which some call X), fb etc

Is there anyone working on an AI to replace CEOs? Many modern LLMs would probably do a decent job, given enough context. However, I imagine they would be hard to sell :D

For some reason Don Jr.s visit to #greenland has really kept me busy (and frankly up at night). There is so much wrong with it - I could go on ranting, but what really annoys me is that the "arrogant USA" has returned to the world stage - on steroids. But I guess that is what "America fist" means
