Heat waves, wildfires and floods. Rightly we focus on carbon emissions but we can't afford to ignore the key role biodiversity also plays, "loss of biodiversity accelerates climate risks: Degraded ecosystems are more vulnerable to floods, droughts and invasive species." #environment  #ClimateAction

It isn't just the vowel sounds. There's the rhythm of speech which doesn't leave you. Across Cumbria, parts of County Durham and North Yorkshire, there's often a slight rubato. Hard to describe but unmistakable when you hear it.

Come to a concert given by Fiddler's Elbow at the Quaker Meeting House in St John's Street, Bury St Edmunds at 2pm on 26 July. There will be Celtic fiddle tunes, Spanish Guitar and Fats Waller! Beverages and food beforehand. All welcome, suggested donation £10.
