i like that floofy dot tech formats react notifs like this. one person reacted to this post and ABSOLUTELY NOBODY ELSE. don't you dare get your damn hopes up
sierpinski triangles are a kind of cyberfungus. i will not be elaborating
Using the #InouyeSolarTelescope and computer simulations, researchers from #NationalSolarObservatory, #mpsgoettingen and #HighAltitudeObservatory reveal tiny vortices on the Sun’s surface that have never been seen before. They are interpreted as signs of […] [Original post on academiccloud.social]
had a debilitating panic attack and slept most of yesterday away, now i have giant piles of pork bao and a slightly broken silly little bit art plotter (inspired by @bitartbot ) the nice thing about making generative art programs is that if it messes it up, you still made some art
> Except like everyone else that's ever touched audio engineering, the devs discovered that encoding microphone audio over the internet is a dark art only understood by 4 people in very expensive fursuits. steam review rando tells it like it is
real pianos should have a hydraulic whammy bar/bend knob that bows the entire soundboard i think
oh i just sucessfully woogled my tablet pen apart by accident and found that the little 75300 battery is just right in there. that's cool yay that means i can repair this thing someday
y'ever go about reading a research paper about some shit we don't work with how we used to and wonder how many of the people involved at that time were killed in its writing
new infinitesimal historical-authenticity someday-project: look up or calculate the aggregate output spectra of deadly toxic pre-1949 BeO4SiZn(Mn) fluorescent tubes to recreate that exact early timbre of light
man i wish my grafana landing page wasn't full of slop shit advertisements every time i load it up to curse at a graph
using LLMs to make worse-than-useless anti-LLM tech feels like a grift reminiscent of a lot of the ouroborosian snake oil in infosec
from now on I'm answering "how long have you been in the fandom" questions with this
i'm sad and disconnecting from reality a lot lately so i'm turning the empty dopamine crank a bit to try and vacuum-form my spirit back into a shape
I keep hearing that a lot of people don't play @resonite.com because of bad performance. But a lot of them are unaware that we had a massive performance update less than a year ago! If you're in that category, I suggest giving it another go! #Resonite #socialVR #gamedev
"oh xr! like i can see my recipes spinning and floating in my kitchen like quake powerups!” No my friend. You need to see and feel yourself carefully manuevering your fat fucking tail around through your kitchen, the cold metal mass of your hanging pots and pans subtly sapping away a localized […]

huh, you _can_ use just a single stick of DDR5 ram, with only a meager performance loss on a high-end cpu. that's kind of tempting
you should be able to use your favorite pngtubers/vtubers as desktop buddies. sit on my windows, little streamer. i've watched you be entertaining, now it's your turn to watch me open a terminal, type `ls`, & close it like 3x/day
i like when i make a silly post that starts doing numbers and escaping its usual orbits, the two diverging branches end up being "SF Bay Tech Whisperer. Dad. UCSB Grad. Resist" and "voted fedi's fattest macro rubber vulpix five years in a row"
i wish there was more that could be done about cpu bottlenecks in games and things. with gpus you can often dial things down to Doom 2 visuals to deal with a lack of vram or whatever but cpu bottlenecks frequently feel like 'time to get rearchitecting bucko' territory
i want longer games with better graphics made by people who are paid less to work more and i'm kidding
