Sad news. I met him in 1999 at the Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry, part of the @czechacademy.bsky.social He accepted me as a trainee, but I finally worked in another research group. He was always smiling and had a kind word everyday we crossed at the 1st floor kitchen.
