Wait scratch that, I got it to read a disc finally, it blew half its fuses cause I'm dumb as a rock, and now it actually spins discs and can even switch sides!!! Still has massive issues, the lens crashes into an LD at the edge on side B and it can't get tracking but holy shit it's trying its best

Okay, managed to get the laser carriage off this cld-3080 LD player that refused to focus lock, and found that the height adjust motor had seized! So I got that moved back into a valid position annnnnnd Now no laser output at all, it doesn't even attempt to hunt for focus. I'm gonna scream 😭

God damn it, spent like 4+ hours cleaning up this random partially disassembled laserdisc player I found in a cabinet I must have forgotten about, managed to get it working perfectly and then suddenly the spindle motor just stopped working At least I got it cheap but fuck there goes 4 hours 😭
