We. Love. Maps. They’re hands down one of the best ways to visualize just how transformational QueensLink truly is. These stunning isochrone maps answer the question: just how far can you get in one hour on existing subways (NO BUILD) vs. with QueensLink (BUILD)?
Looking for something to do Friday afternoon? Join us at @qcjcrockaway’s Summer Kickoff Kickback! 📍10-27 Beach 20th Street, Far Rockaway, 11691 ⏰ 1pm-5pm
Did you missed the hearing yesterday? You still have 48 hours to submit a written testimony at the 🔗 in bio! Reminder that deadline will be on Saturday June 13, 2026 at 10:00pm!
Thank you for everyone who showed up to the in-person and virtual hearing to give their spoken testimonies, it was a long journey but we made it! With a myriad of impassioned speeches in support of the project, we couldn't be more proud of our #RailsandTrails movement!
This is the wrong decision for transit in New York. Existing rights-of-way that travel through dense, under-served neighborhoods do not grow on trees, and it's a massive own goal for any city to not take advantage of them. No plan does this better than @queenslink.org.
Mayor Mamdani is going full speed ahead with plans to build the QueensWay park over abandoned train tracks in Central Queens, after his administration decisively told advocates for bringing transit to the right of way that he won’t change course.
Here we are again. We thought @mayor.nyc.gov @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social would be different. But unfortunately on the issue of Queens' Next Subway, he isn't budging. Fortunately, it's not over yet. City Council is holding their FINAL public hearing on the budget on JUNE 10th @ 9:30am @ City Hall.
🔔REMINDER: We’ll be tabling at @nerd4cities at @huntercollege TOMORROW, and @31staveopenstreet on SUNDAY! Come stop by, say hi, and check out some of our new print material 👀
There's always money for "one more lane" but never enough for the train 🤦🏻♀️ (cue the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" music) Tell Mayor Mamdani to #BuildtheQueensLink by visiting the 🔗 in bio and writing a letter!
There's been some talk about reopening the Woodhaven LIRR station on the Atlantic Branch. While a considerable project in it's own right, we envision the Woodhaven LIRR Station as part of the QueensLink proposal and we fully support efforts to reopen it!
QueensLink Delivers for the Rockaways! 🌊🏄🏾♀️ - Faster journey times - Parallels existing high-ridership corridor - Direct service to Manhattan for Rockaway Park All Day - More frequent service to JFK - 165% increase and 55% increase in service on Rockaway Park and Far Rockaway branches respectively
IBX 🤝 QueensLink. Two excellent projects with incredible potential to transform our city. They're also by no means mutually exclusive. Tell Mayor Mamdani and the City Council Queens needs IBX AND QueensLink using the link in bio
⛽ 😮💨 Gas prices got you down? Best way to tackle car dependence is by expanding public transit! QueensLink does this exceptionally well, reducing more vehicle miles traveled than both IBX and SAS Phase 2 combined!
🌼 🌷 🌸 We're Stepping into Spring with lots of events planned! Stay tuned for more days of action soon 👀
Meet the New Boss; Same as the Old Boss? A recent editorial in The Wave details Mayor Mamdani's "flip-flop" on QueensLink. He campaigned on a pro-transit agenda, so why is he blocking QueensLink?? Tell Mayor Mamdani to SAVE TRANSIT NOW at the link in bio!! Image Courtesy of The Wave/Thomas Kerr
Why are we advocating for the M+G service pattern on QueensLink? Here's what NYU's ridership report found!
In our newest report using STOPS data from NYU, the QueensLink corridor sees 75,000 daily riders! That's 92% more than than the last estimate of 39,000 daily riders in the MTA's 20 Year Needs Assessment.
If you thought those platforms were packed already, just wait. But QueensLink tackles this directly. More trains = Less crowding. Use the Link in Bio to Tell Mayor Mamdani and the City Council: NO WAY with QueensWay! #buildtheQueensLink
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table at the Forest Hills Spring Fair yesterday!
QueensLink transforms Queens Boulevard with the G to Forest Hills! 50% more local service means shorter waits, more destinations and fewer delays and disruptions
Transit Mayor @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is walking back his support of the slam dunk QueensLink project. Remind him that Queens desperately needs Rails AND Trails on this rare existing right-of-way. actionnetwork.org/letters/it-a...
QueensLink tackles the most unsafe roads in the city by removing 4.7 million cars off the road each year 👀
Because super speeders are such significant repeat offenders, residents in the top 20 districts are exposed to speeding violations 10 times more often than in the bottom 20 districts. Super speeders were caught speeding in the top 13 as many times as the bottom 52 combined.
🚨Bad News🚨: QueensWay has put together their own letter writing campaign to influence @mayor.nyc.gov !! Make sure YOUR voice is heard! Tell Mayor Mamdani to SUPPORT QUEENSLINK actionnetwork.org/letters/it-a...
Thank you, Janno, for the recognition of QueensLink's Initial Business Case and Ridership Report! We look forward to the MTA's review of our findings on this transformative project. #BuildtheQueensLink
Happy Open Data Week! Our latest report was built on Open Data, and the data says NYC has WAYYY too much to lose if QueensWay is built. Tell Mayor Mamdani, Listen to the Data: NO WAY to QueensWAY! actionnetwork.org/letters/it-a...
South Queens is in a full blown Transportation Crisis. @mayor.nyc.gov’s preliminary budget has kept $43 million in funding for the anti-transit scheme QueensWay. As designed, QueensWay would prevent a future north-south subway in Queens from ever being built.
In a new piece early this morning from the @nytimes.com on QueensLink’s report release, @mayor.nyc.gov's office declined to comment on whether the Mayor still supports transit on the Rockaway Beach Branch. Is @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social turning his back on Queens riders?
QueensLink Fast Facts 🚈💨 - 75,000 daily riders, or nearly double the ridership-per-mile of IBX - 50% more service on Queens Boulevard and 165% more through-service to the Rockaways - 60-70% faster travel through Queens and into Brooklyn resulting in $4.9 billion in time savings for New Yorkers
