🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ As Pride Month comes to a close, we want to reiterate that at AGU, we stand with our LGBTQIA+ community—because inclusion drives innovation, and representation matters.

AGQ is thrilled to host a new technical session for #agu26! This session builds off last year's town hall, & will bring together queer scientists across disciplines to showcase their science and how their identities contribute to the process. Submit abstracts by 5th of August!

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Our next town hall speaker spotlight is Dr. AK Kotash, professor at Clackamas Community College. For AK, bringing your queer identity fully to your science isn’t just a decision.

AGQ is thrilled to once again partner with the education section to host ED001 at #agu26! This session will once again bring together talks and posters working to build a supportive scientific community. We hope you consider submitting your abstract by the deadline (the 5th of August).

🏳️‍🌈For our second town hall spotlight, we are pleased to feature Dr. Nick Achilleos, professor at the University College London. Nick was our first speaker of the inaugural town hall and finds meaning in being a queer scientist by what that identity enables us to bring to the table.

🏳️‍🌈 2025 was a very active year for AGQ (@queeragu.bsky.social) – the queer affinity group of AGU! We received some preliminary feedback from #AGU25 attendees who loved and supported the events of AGQ!

🏳️‍🌈During #PrideMonth, AGQ will be highlighting some of the speakers from our #AGU25 town hall. Our first spotlight is Dr. Lisa Graumlich (@lgraumlich.bsky.social ) dean emerita at the University of Washington!

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️PRIDE MONTH General Membership Meeting!! On Tuesday June 23rd at 10am PT / 1pm ET, we will host a general membership all-hands meeting! Please join to celebrate pride, connect with other members, and discuss various topics! Link will be in our LinkTree!
