The written version of Ch 19 on somatic breathing exercises (that actually work) is finished. I just need to film the video chapter. But I won’t be able to for at least another week due to other obligations/barriers. Would you want them to drop together or blog now & vid later?

I was evicted 4 days ago. No one helped me in the end. Would people like to help the only person who has ever gotten the DEC to open an investigation into radioactive waste in the Buffalo-Niagara region, left over from the Manhtattan Project? A lot of people tried, i was the first to succeed.
Hi everyone!!!! My birthday is in three days and i'd LOVE if people could help me with this. My wish is to get enough money to pay my electric bill and hire a lawyer to fight my evil landlord!!!!🥳 Please boost this, it's really important, anything helps! Goal is $800 CA: $ LaguerreK PP: @ KimalahL
All the co-regulation videos will be posted today 1) What is co-regulation 2) Reciprocity from a somatic POV 3) How to use co-regulation to build community 4) How to use the autonomic nervous system to practice co-regulation 5) Practical ways to co-regulate Parts 1 & 2
Part 6B - Example: Freeze as a Survival Response Freeze = DORSAL vagus + sympathetic nervous system ——————————————— Part 6C - Example: The Basics of Fawning Fawn = DORSAL vagus + sympathetic nervous system queeringpsychology.com/2023/09/18/s...
People need to work on their fear and/or discomfort w/ conflict Boundary violators routinely steamroll over people, ignore community rules, etc. & people are generally too uncomfortable w/ conflict in the moment to hold the line
Foraging is so dope. I went from chicory greens in spring to lamb’s quarters & amaranth/callaloo for most of the summer to dandelion greens now Next year, I’m gonna harvest poke salad in the early spring too 😋

It can take months, sometimes years to help a client become a solid candidate for EMDR reprocessing. The readiness checklist isn’t there for shits & giggles. Rushing a client is malpractice & it’s scaring people away from somatic work
Especially if you are working with Black clients, you can’t rush the Preparation stage. I even do Phase 2 and history taking at the same time. Preparing a client (esp a Black person with chronic stress or complex trauma) for EMDR does NOT take a couple sessions.
Every single time a potential client tells me they’ve done EMDR before, it was a rush job & the client either says it didn’t work or it was a traumatizing experience All because these therapists refuse to take the time to prep clients properly and they want to rush to the trauma

Filmed all the co-regulation videos yesterday and am about done with the draft for Ch 19 on Somatic Breathing Exercises So expect new stuff soon
My goal for my MHC4OC practice is to finish getting the credentials to be a EMDR consultant/trainer and a NYS CE provider so I can use the money I make training therapists to fund free somatic therapy for low income Black people That seems to be the most sustainable path
I didn’t know there were therapists who are afraid of working with other therapists as their clients
Update: I’m gonna film and post the next video on ways to self-regulate this coming week I’ve been at a virtual eating disorder conference for much of my usual recording time this week
I’m a notary public who provides virtual services! It’s $25 per session As long as I am physically in NYS, I can be hired to notarize the document remotely as long as it’s related to a matter under US jurisdiction For more info, like how to make an appt: queeringpsychology.com/2023/03/30/a...

Are you looking for someone who isn’t a bigot to notarize your documents? Great news! I am a licensed electronic notary public in New York State!

I think my next state licenses are gonna be Michigan (reg state license) & Louisiana (telehealth license) this year Being a therapist in this country is so ridiculously expensive. It’s wild that I have to pay for each state separately 🙃
The next video on self-regulation should be coming out in the next couple days What had happened was: while filming, ig I got overly into the topic and ended up recording over an hour of me talking And I’m cutting it down to 15 mins
Other than the Pride festivals, are there other festivals in NYC that give out Narcan kits?
Or does anyone have suggestions to make a visit safer? Do reddimasks help in this situation?
Does anyone know a place to get a COVID safe eye exam in NYC? I’ll travel anywhere but Staten Island (Bare minimum: wearing masks and having ventilation/clean air)

Hi 👋🏼 Could anyone who is seeing this please help me out? I'm really trying my best to raise funds and absolutely struggling bc i legit do a LOT of on the ground environmental activism in my community.
Just gonna roll this into a new ask. Would anyone like to help me raise $100 to go towards food and a gas bill? Thank you 🩷
Getting older & having a deeper understanding of your parents as people & what they dealt with while raising you can have different outcomes Some situations, you appreciate your parents, some you give them grace, & others reaffirm the need to set strong boundaries or estrange yourself
Big THANK YOU to everyone who donates to MHC4OC Keeping up the websites, sharing free info on the blog, keeping up my licenses, providing free therapy & low cost supervision etc is so expensive & I literally would not be able to do this without you I’m humbled every year 🥹
Part of clinical supervision should be making sure that supervisees are comfortable doing their job without AI *at the very least* to account for situations where AI can’t be used. You don’t want a healthcare worker not knowing what to say or do without AI working on your case
Esp licensed clinicians who are trained in EMDR, but having a hard time incorporating it into their practice, having difficulty with resourcing clients, or experiencing abreactions often I have a gentler flexible, but still structured approach using Polyvagal & systems theories
I offer clinical supervision to licensed therapists interested in incorporating somatic practices into their clinical work And supervision session fees go right into running the practice & providing free therapy to low income Black people So you grow for a good cause
This month has been the most stagnant in the past three years as far as donations. I need $200 to cover my cell phone bill. 📱 Please donate if you can. Donate: linktr.ee/jskylerinc #TransCrowdFund #DisabilityCrowdFund #BeAPatron #BIPOCMA #HelpSky #BlackSky #LGBT 💸💕🏳️⚧️ #PrideMonth
[MAY UPDATE] DISABLED BLK TRANS ENBY ✊🏿🏳️⚧️ JUNE GOAL: $5000 I need to raise enough to buy a decent used car cash That’s: 50 ppl giving $100 100 ppl giving $50 200 ppl giving $25 DEADLINE 6/30 Donate: linktr.ee/jskylerinc #TransCrowdFund #DisabilityCrowdFund #BIPOCMA #HelpSky #BlackSky 💸💕🏳️⚧️
Is there a way (a 3rd party company or something) that I can get my digital photos printed without AI?
