Tim Wenger. Like a good Mennonite, I've taken the third option in a false dichotomy. They/ Them

Every Mennonite knows the story of the Dutch Anabaptist named Dirk Willems who ran across Frozen River to escape capture. His pursuer fell through the ice and Willems sent back to rescue him. He was then rearrested, tortured and killed for his belief.

Two women trained as first responders were abducted by three ICE agents. One of the agents starts seizing. The other two don’t know what to do. The women jump into action and save the agent’s life, only to be re-handcuffed and processed. www.startribune.com/detained-by-...

Today on Ways Christians Lie™️ an Uncle passed away, he wanted to be buried in the same cemetery with his mother. We were told the funeral would have to be held in a specific church (by the pastor of said church)… until we talked to the funeral director who had no problem getting us a plot.

I told my mom that I wanted to use gender neutral language and they/them pronouns. Today my Dad asked if I felt like I’m multiple people. I had to explain third person singular.

Trans day of remembrance. Don't just focus on those trans people who have been murdered by strangers in public. Also remember the trans people who were denied healthcare, allowed to die in prison, encouraged to kill themselves by their loved ones, buried under the wrong name by their families.

Reminder on Trans Day of Remembrance: anti trans legislation does not protect women and girls, not in bathrooms nor on sports teams or anywhere else, because we are not a threat, this has been statistically proven time and time again.

Shoes have been the most consistent source of gender dysphoria for me. Men’s shoes are boring, and I’m a 13 women’s! Today I finally got fem boots! I’m never going back!

My work is in the middle of a big Geothermal project. As I walked across the yard, I ran into one of the workers. He sent up a thumbs up thumbs as I walked past, which I responded with a thumbs up before realizing he was communicating with a coworker behind me. Don’t mind me as I die in the garage.

Have I ended up in a starter pack somehow? I have a huge influx of followers over here without me doing much to be visible. Hello everyone! I’m Tim (They/He), bisexual genderqueer Mennonite and Nerd.

I wanted to wear this cute outfit on Sunday, but I needed to go to Home Depot and already have a hard with time getting treated seriously there since changing my looks. So I wore it out on date night in Wednesday instead.

@caseyplett.bsky.social I heard you on a podcast recently reading about shopping for clothes and you mentored a connection to Mennonites in MB. So I got A Dream of a Women from the library... I'm only 2 stories in (reading on my lunchbreaks) but your writing has me feeling things. Thank you.

This year my resolution was to be more queer. And while I didn't do a ton on my physical presentation, I did: Find more Queer Community Attend more protests Organize my Church's participation in Pride And buy my first trans Zine! Here's to another year of being queer!

If you chose to come out today I'm proud of you. If it isn't for you to or you aren't ready to yet, take your time. There is a lovely community waiting for you when you are ready. #comingoutday
