The tonal shift throughout Rogue One’s final moments from despair & sadness to shock & fear to hope & excitement is beautiful every single time I watch it.
“How does it work? The Force. What does it feel like?” “Have you ever been afraid of the dark? How does it feel when you turn on the light?” “I feel safe.” “Yes, it feels like that.”
My head-canon is that Cassian & Bix’s child grows up & eventually becomes a member of the Resistance, following in their parents’ anti-fascist footsteps & joining the fight against the First Order.
The most heartbreaking moment in Episode III for me personally is this scene - so much happiness & hope between the two of them here that gets irrevocably shattered in the ensuing days. 💔
Tbh? The future of Star Wars is bright. ✨ - Ahsoka S2 - Shadow Lord - Visions S3 - Starfighter - Mando/Grogu Not to mention the NJO & DotJ films, plus the eventual Survivor 🎮 sequel that is in development too, & all of the upcoming books. We have a lot to look forward to. 🖤

My Star Wars hot take? Palpatine returning in Episode IX to bookend the Saga was an excellent narrative choice, & the revelation in RoS that he was the main antagonist from the very beginning to the very end is a perfect parallel to the Skywalker heroes’ journeys throughout all three trilogies. ✨
