ELDEN RING -Putrescent Knight- We’ve received the first cast resin kit and have already assembled it. This time, we used three types of resin to address the weight-bearing issue, and the results look fantastic! This piece will be showcased and available for sale at the Wonder Festival in February.
The final work of the year. I’ve decided to use 3D printing for the sword section. Printing it hollow is an excellent solution to the weight issue. Both arms will be cast in ABS resin, which will add extra strength. This is my first time combining different materials in a kit.
After printing out this large sword, I realized a major issue. If it's cast as a solid piece of resin, the sword will be very heavy. I don't think the delicate skeleton arms will be able to support it. I’ll need to find another approach.

I assigned a simple material in ZB to simulate the texture and color scheme. There’s still some work I need to finish before Comic Con, so I’ll probably have to wait until after the event to continue working on this piece.

I tried to wash some of the colors to quickly bring out the details. It was a really enjoyable process. This is a good result even if you don't have time to paint it. The details are well emphasized. #Alien #fanart #sculpture
