AI is a lot like nuclear power. If it's kept inside drastic containment, & out of the hands of the public, we'll see only periodic catastrophically lethal results. The biggest difference is that nuclear power is actually somewhat beneficial to society, whereas AI is an existential threat.

Don't forget to pay attention to domestic surveillance & censorship legislation. I'm seeing everything from router bans, to VPN & OS bans popping up. That's to say nothing of the government buying our data through the open market; due to how much we are actually being watched in the US.

I don't have a problem with decriminalizing THC. It should never have been criminalized in the first place. I do have a problem with normalizing intoxication, addiction, & especially DWI; instead of building supportive social infrastructure for our communities. There's a big difference.

Back in my day, we didn't call language models, bots, or data mining graphics simulators "AI". That said, I absolutely have a problem with the idea of any true AI. Especially if it's consuming the life sustaining resources of people, plants, or animals; or adding harm to climate change.

I keep seeing folks asking for arrests without impeachment. ...That's literally what impeachments are about though. The condensed explanation is that Tinyhands McBankruptcy has to be impeached in order to be lawfully arrested.

One of the most tin hat perspectives I've heard recently, is that Congress is somehow a deranged monolith; only pretending to attempt impeachment. ...Look, at best, that demonstrates a paranoid delusion. At worst, it's a fundamental misunderstanding of Social Studies.

To be clear, I am not actually expecting anything positive under the current regime. All empires fall, & this one is well on its way into toppling. We'll be able to make the necessary reforms, after removing the MAGA fuckwits from office. In the meantime, this is all about damage control.

One of the best parts of my retirement is that I don't have to play nice with the do nothing Dems or MAGA waffles anymore. I have literally zero public relevancy, & that means I get to be satirically creative. (That should absolutely scare the pearl clutching bigot crowd.)
