(reposting with alt text) Important information for artists & commissioners who use paypal

drowzistatic: IMPORTANT PAYPAL PSA FOR ARTISTS & CLIENTS Hey, please read this because a LOT of people don't know until it's already too late. PayPal actively scans payment notes, and accounts are getting flagged, limited, or permanently banned over certain keywords. When that happens, they can freeze your money for 180+ days. For clients / commissioners: DO NOT put these in the payment note: "Commission" "NSFW" PAYPAL IS STRICTLY AGAINTS ANY SORT NSFW CONTENT AS IT VIOLATES THEIR TOS.
"Tip" or "Donation" (if you're paying for a service) AS MUCH AS US ARTIST APPRECIATES OUR CLIENTS SUPPORT, PLEASE NEVER SPECIFY A TIP.
PayPal uses bots / Al that look for these words (especially anything tied to adult content) to enforce their AUP. (Acceptable use policy)
For artists: • ALWAYS use vague, SFW descriptions "Digital Illustration" "Artwork Services" "Creative Services"

Before I got my eye put out- I liked as well to see As other creatures, that have eyes- And know no other way- But were it told to me, Today That I might have the Sky For mine, I tell you that my Heart Would split, for size of me - #art | #witchhatatelier | #qifrey

An illustration of the Witch Hat Atelier character Qifrey. He is surrounded by a silver tree, his cloak entangled in it, not being able to discern where it ends and where it begins. The silver hues blend in all ways except for the tassle attached to the cloak, around it a black strand strangles it. Following it around his neck, his skintone one of the only warm tones in the painting but even that is fading. One hand is resting lightly on his cheek and the other holds his pen up to the starry sky. His hair picks up and bounces off the white light breaking through the leaves. The entire illustration is as if drawn with pastels and colored pencils.

Winter: My Secret Christina Rosetti “-Only, my secret’s mine, and I won’t tell. Or after all, perhaps there’s none: Suppose there is no secret after all, But only just my fun.” #art | #ocart | #originalart

A detailed illustration with a heavy traditional feel. It shows my character Arno, dressed in his iconic leather fur lined jacket positioned as if casting a spell. Below his left arm is a a bright pink eye opening in succession, reminiscent of the lunar phases. On his shoulder is a draped blue skeleton copying his movements. It isn’t clear if the skeleton is mimicking him or if he is mimicking the skeleton. The atmosphere is regal, academic, the candle light provides an aura of a warm interior of a study. The candle rests on a wooden shelf with symbols of the moon, the sword and the wand. Above the shelf is an ornamental wooden frame and within it an obscured painting.

Kickstarter officially banning adult content now. Knew this was coming, but it still sucks to have yet another part of the internet that I've been explicitly evicted from. Digital gentrification is exhausting.

Screenshot of Kickstarter's new rules against mature content, in which everything pornographic is banned. It's a long document that's formatted in a way that I can't copy and paste all the text that's in it, but the first is that all point and anything sexual is now banned.

every second #mermay

Digital painting of two mermen, tenderly holding each other, their tails intertwined. One merman is embracing the other one with both his arms, his hands clasping the other's head. He has long flowy white hair, adorned with sea flowers and starfish that are blue and white, and his tail is silvery white. The other merman is blonde with short, soft curls, his hand holding the other one by the waist, and his tail is royal blue color. In the backdrop are faint drawings of coral reefs, with three silver fish swimming around them.

for a moment #MerMay

digital illustration of two merfolk hanging out by the water. One merman, who is propping himself up by the elbows whilst laying down, has his fish tail dipping in the water. Surrounded by the tail is another merfolk, sitting by the water, his arm resting on his knee. On the backdrop is a stark white building, the structure of which is minimalist and almost impossible.

The two merfolk are sharing a longing look at each other.
