규슈는 가깝다. 부산에서 항공기로 한 시간이 채 걸리지 않고 배로도 금방 갈 수 있다. 규슈의 중심도시 후쿠오카의 대학에서 보름을 체류하고 왔다. 교통과 상업의 거점인 하카타역은 35도가 넘는 폭염 속에서도 활기가 넘쳤다. 활기의 중심에는 청년들, 특히 젊은 여성들이 있었다. 일본의 산업화 역사를 아는 사람들은 짐작하겠지만, 규슈는 한국의 동남권처럼 ...

the images weren't actually seen until an exhibition in 2013 but I still think documenting & telling the story of a city & it's people struggling will always be important, especially before the internet, I believe it was only specific parts of Glasgow but the photos are still unbelievably desolate

Raymond Depardon is a French photographer who was commissioned in 1980 to document post-war, post-thatcher Glasgow, which had around 20% unemployment at the time due to massive industrial collapse plus many other social & economic issues at the time

wanted to start sharing some of my favorite photographers & their work (until i end up forgetting) - seems fitting to start with William Eggleston who not only helped legitimize color photos as 'artistic' instead of just for casual family photos, but also applied this to his very mundane subjects-

꽃잎에 옅은 아사달 무늬가 있지만, 출원 당시 기록에 따라 신규 품종도감에는 백단심계로 수록되었습니다. 광복은 빼앗긴 나라와 이름, 삶을 되찾은 역사입니다. 서로의 다름을 넘어 한마음으로 뜻을 모았던 그날처럼, 우리가 일군 오늘 역시 서로를 이해하고 연대해 온 노력 위에 서 있습니다🇰🇷
