It's always so funny to listen to a podcast from the end of 2018 wishing everyone a "peaceful, beautiful, and satisfying, and happy" (for example) 2019. If only they knew what awaited them 😂😂

Dolly is gone, but I'll always appreciate her funding and publicly receiving the Moderna vaccine, in addition to her advocacy to wipe out childhood illiteracy.

Alright guys. I'm taking ABIM in 13 hours. Hit me with your highest yield pearls to remember.
What does one do when one's new primary care doctor misrepresents the purpose of an appointment and bills as anything other than preventative care?
Think I may bring my dumpster fire to work tomorrow as I introduce the ICU to my black cloud
Okay if I opened a bar I'd call it The Gym so then people would be like, let's go to The Gym again and they wouldn't feel bad
So my brand new primary care doctor billed my annual physical exam as an intro screening visit and now I'm stuck paying >$200 out of pocket for 10 minutes with him. And I did my own med rec and GAD7. You'd better believe I'm gonna call them and make a fuss about this. Wtf
Whew there goes a 14 day in a row stint of consult ID where I was sometimes called in the middle of the night and often understood 30% of words being spoken. I have this weekend off, which is good because I have my ABIM boards on Wednesday. On Monday I start 2 weeks in the ICU. For now I sleep.

A new study shows that among people hospitalized with COVID19, other viruses such as EBV, HSV1, and CMV may be reactivated. This effect isn’t limited to those who are immunocompromised, either. So if you’re wondering why I’m still masking indoors in public, have a read.
COVID can wake up a slew of dormant viruses inside you
Reactivation of typically harmless anelloviruses, in particular, seems to be linked with developing long COVID, study finds.

At 3pm today they asked if I was aware I have to present a case to our NIH/Georgetown joint conference on Friday. Guess who was unaware she had to make such a presentation and who just spent the last 2 hours digging through old documents and making a PowerPoint about her fav case from intern year? 🙃
